Sometimes you simply don’t picture a crowded room when you imagine saying “I do” and that’s more than okay. Your wedding day should reflect the way you love, not what tradition expects. For Ashley and AJ, that meant gathering just a handful of their closest family and friends on an early spring morning at the Washington County Courthouse. It was intimate, intentional, and beautifully centered on what mattered most, their promises to one another.
They mingled a little leading up to their ring and vows exchange with loved ones and then family stood near while they said their “I do’s.”
While Aaron and I had photographed wedding outside the Washington County Courthouse in the past, we had never been inside. It is even more glamorous indoors. I was shocked to find even more intricate details and architecture than our own Westmoreland County Courthouse. We couldn’t take their bride and groom portraits outside without at least snapping a few indoors first.
The early spring conditions didn’t give us a ton of greenery, but we made it work with the little bit we had. Plus the Washington County Courthouse had for such a stunning backdrop in and of itself.
