5 Wedding lighting tips & how it effects your photos
Planning a fall & winter wedding
More about me
Hi I'm Tiffany! Mama of 3 little ones, 19 year wedding photographer and portrait photographer, photography workshop host and mentor, 7 year wedding planner, micro homesteader, lover of travel & adventure, follower of Jesus, and hobby gardener.
Winter weddings hold an extra bit of lovely. Especially when there is snow on the ground. While Western Pennsylvania doesn’t always boast a lot of snow despite it’s Northern climate, for Anastasia and Jake’s wedding day, it certainly did. Their Saint Vincent wedding ceremony in Latrobe was a bit more chilly than usual given that it was only 10 degrees outside. Thankfully, their Waterworks reception in Greensburg was a cozy event with plenty of dancing to keep away the chilly late night temperatures.
Before all of the dinner and dancing though, the lovely Anastasia needed a location to prepare in. While a Saint Vincent wedding ceremony was her top priority, a getting ready location at the church was not possible. So while planning with Anastasia and Jake, I offered my studio space just down the road. I wasn’t sure how it would all come together, but I think I’m in love!

I brought in my vintage mirror, added a little stand, and the popular cream couch was still there from my Christmas mini sessions. Each piece added to Anastasia’s lovely timeless and classic look. The soft winter morning light and creamy bridesmaid dress colors blended so well with the dark and contrasting color pop of the flowers.

I know black and white photos have taken a backseat for a few years. However, I think they should make a comeback. They allow your eyes to be drawn more to the main subject or event happening. They boast a classic and timeless look.

While the bride and groom are the main event, I love taking a minute to focus on the family and friends. Their sweet nephew and flower girl were enjoying the day as well.

We may not have been able to feel out nose and toes, but photo in the pretty Western Pennsylvania snow were a must for Anastasia and Jake. We snuck outside of Saint Vincent’s chapel area first before relocating to a location I had scouted out that gave a great panoramic view of the ridge and a little bit of Saint Vincent in the background.

A few frozen toes later, we arrived the their reception venue, The Water Works in Greensburg Pennsylvania. They had create a warm and cozy vibe to match their wedding colors and overall aesthetic. A little bit of pine and darling little snowflakes added to the winter wedding decor pieces. Thankfully the weather even worked with them leaving a nice blanket of fluffy white snow of everything outdoors too.

A big thank you to the vendors who helped bring Anastasia & Jake’s beautiful winter Saint Vincent wedding in Latrobe and The Water Works Reception in Greensburg to life:
