5 Wedding lighting tips & how it effects your photos
Planning a fall & winter wedding
More about me
Hi I'm Tiffany! Mama of 3 little ones, 19 year wedding photographer and portrait photographer, photography workshop host and mentor, 7 year wedding planner, micro homesteader, lover of travel & adventure, follower of Jesus, and hobby gardener.
In November, I added to my meeting room space in downtown Latrobe. That second room gave me the flexibility to no longer have to tear my meeting room apart every time I wanted to offer a studio portrait session. It’s been a wild few months trying to find the best flow, but I can now say that I have a Latrobe photography studio.
While I certainly miss the location I had in Greensburg for 12 years, I don’t miss the drive and the parking situation. Having a downtown Latrobe photography studio is simply perfect for where we live and my busy mom/entrepreneur life. From our Christmas indoor mini sessions, so a slew of branding and commercial headshots over the January and February season, it’s been such a blessing to have a designated studio space.

My sweet little miss Caroline just turned 8 years old, so a birthday portrait session in the new studio with a super fun backdrop was needed. This little lady didn’t have an photo requests this year. She simply wanted the darling cream ruffle layered dress that was covered in dainty pink flowers and completed with pink bows at the top.
While the studio walls are a simple white, I wanted her and the dress to pop a little. I decided to order a new seamless backdrop in a creamy warm color. It’s been years since I have used backdrops. Even in my downtown Greensburg photography studio, backdrops weren’t really a thing. However, with the new location in Latrobe, I want to bring back some of the portrait studio options I learned in college and when I would spend weeks in the city training under some of the best photographers in the US.

Every year her personality shines more and more. While elaborate backdrops, scenes, and settings are grand… I think something I have come to love about studio portraiture is how simple the scene can be to truly focus on the subject.
If you were here for our Christmas mini sessions, you know that our “T’was the night before Christmas” scene was full of little details. So don’t worry, with the new Latrobe photography studio, I won’t keep everything simple all the time. I will just be selective based on the season and my client’s needs.

Happy 8th birthday to my spunky little lady!
