Early Spring Downtown Pittsburgh Engagement Photos | Michaela & Logan

When your Downtown Pittsburgh Engagement session starts with the iconic Mellon Institute Columns, you know it’s going to be grand. When it starts at the pillars and it’s with one of your past high school seniors and her fiancé, it’s even better than grand! To say I was delighted to be a part of another milestone in Michaela’s life is an understatement.

This fabulous lady has been in front of my camera since she was quite young. She, along with her mom and sister, were some of my first clients when I went I started full time. More than a client, Michaela feels like a sister. I’m THRILLED for her and Logan as they start on this grand adventure together.

Our second downtown Pittsburgh engagement session location was overrun with sorority groups taking photos and a silent protest of some sort happening, so we opted for this classic building off in the corner of it all. This wasn’t our first pick, but it brought some of her photos full circle. See Michaela’s high school senior portraits here from 2020.

The timeless elegance of Frick Fine Arts Building is always a favorite. I’m such a sucker for classic architecture!

Michaela’s dusty blue gown was smashingly perfect for her photos! It added such a feminine and delicate touch to the look while contrasting nicely against Logan’s navy blue. Those also happen to be my two favorite colors. 😉

Spring green was still a few weeks away, but we made the best of it. A few small evergreen trees were scattering along the stairs to the Frick Fine Arts building and I did my best to include them.

Michaela and Logan, you two are just perfect! I’m so glad our paths crossed all of those years ago and that you have asked me to be a part of this next adventure in your life!
