Every year I enjoy decorating and dressing up our home for the holidays. As a wedding photographer, I see so many lovely things that I want to do or try. This year I think I went a little overboard. Oops!
Though our numbers were small this year, only 15, we still had wonderful time around the table. One of my favorite moments every year is when we all share something we are thankful for.
When I spent my first thanksgiving with Aaron’s family, I was introduced to the “thankful corn” tradition. Everyone receives 3 corn kernels next to there plate and during dinner and we make three rounds around the table each saying something we are thankful for. It really sets the tone for the day and give us all wonderful things to chat about during the rest of dinner. Sometimes, we even hear some new and exciting news that we missed hearing about prior to the holidays.
We hope your Thanksgiving was a wonderful one full of family and thankfulness!
Hugs!

Lovely. I will show Aunt Regina your beautiful setting for Thanksgiving dinner. What happens to the 3 corn kernels after sharing the thankful stories? Love you guys.

Awe yes, please pass them along so she can see the house and a big hug too!
We go around the table three times each sharing one thing we are thankful for. Each corn kernel represents those three things.
