I received a text from our DJ friend Tony asking if I would be available October 30th to photograph his good friend proposing. Umm… yes please! A couple of weeks later Anthony texted me and we chatted about his plans. After bouncing some ideas around, the perfect proposal fell into place.
This is their charming fall proposal story:
The 30th of October arrived and everything was set. Kelly was due home around 5:30 that evening and I arrived about 5:00 to find a hiding spot. With a Halloween party the next day, Kelly & Anthony’s front porch was looking cuter than ever. Little did Kelly know that her charming decor would aid in her proposal too. Once Kelly was home from work, her and Anthony quickly left to take their fur babies out for a quick stroll about the neighborhood. Our initial plan was to have me walking around their townhouse plan when they got back from their walk, however, one of the houses a few doors down from theirs was for sale. So I sat on the front step acting as though I was waiting for a realtor. I have to giggle a little because I overheard Kelly pointing me out to Anthony and mentioning that someone must be looking at the house. hehe So she waved and said hi to me and I waived back and said hello.
Anthony had left a little pineapple notebook, pineapples are Kelly’s favorite, in the mailbox to give to her as he proposed. So while walking back with mail in hand, he told her he had something for her. She took a look, made mention of how cute the notebook was and proceeded to head into the house.
At this point I was in the clear and stepped out to get a better view of them. Kelly was about to head in when Anthony caught her attention enough for her turn back around. The look of surprise was perfect!
Shortly after Kelly & Anthony met, they were out on evening and the topic of New Years events popped up. One thing lead to anther and Anthony placed a little memo in her phone for December 31st, 2016 simply stating “The day I marry my best friend :)” Now fast forward a few years so see the lovely ring and that memo together.
A champagne toast was shared over more laughter, happy tears and kisses.
We even brought back the Zander & Sebastien for a few photos too.
Kelly & Anthony thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful life event! Aaron and I can’t wait to get to know you both and be there to see you “marry your best friend” next new years!!!
Cheers!!
