Goose flying + Airplane Flying = Mess
Unlike my last post this one is far from sweet romantic and cute. Let me start out with a photo to give you an idea of what I mean…
The pilot of the plane was in flight when above him he saw a flock of geese. Little did he know what one would decide to leave the flock he was flying with…
The goose came crashing through the windshield shattering the glass and leaving goose guts throughout the plane.
The pilot of the plane was flying over Johnstown at the time the goose hit but due to cloud cover he had to fly to Latrobe Airport to land. Talk about taking a lot of courage. It was freezing that day plus with a huge hole in the windshield I can’t image it was a splendid flight.
The planes roll bar is what saved the plane and pilot from encountering more damage.
By the time I got to photograph the plane most of the gory guts were gone. Sorry to those of you who wanted to see more.
Now I am sure you are wondering the outcome of the pilot… No need to worry any longer. He was in great condition. Talk about miracle!
