I never thought I would want to be a part of a birth. I mean, I was a part of Caroline’s since I was the mom and the one pregnant. What I’m referring to is a brith outside of my own children’s. To be honest, I wasn’t sure how I would do since I can get a little queasy.
Let me just say, IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER!!! If I already didn’t think God created us woman so wonderfully I do so every more now. More than that though is how amazing it is to watch a little tiny human go from a snuggly soggy environment to breathing on their own… WOW!!!
This has been the most amazing experience and a testament to how truly fearfully and wonderfully made me are. The best part about it is that I was able to experience it with my sister and her hubby.
The wait seamed like forever but thankfully because I can recently gone before her she know what “family” complications could happen and she was able to avoid a 30 some hour labor like me.
She had been pushing for a while when she became so exhausted she had to rest for a little while. After a break, she pushed through and little Charlie Lake Johnson V joined the world with little fuss.
I sobbed through these birth photos I’m not going to lie. If I’m every asked to take them for someone again, I’m sure I will sob then too. Watching a couple interact with each other and support one another is so sweet to watch and then when the baby arrives, it’s even sweeter.
I mean, seriously, this is heart busting adorable!
“Oh hi mom! Nice to finally see you!”
This little guy had pooped everywhere and all over everything by the time they weighed him. Poor kiddo was a miss and he wasn’t happy about it.
I finally went home and left the new little family there to enjoy time together but before they left the hospital I drove back up to Conemaugh memorial Medical, where Caroline was born too, for a Fresh 48 Portrait Session.
Look at those chubby little cheeks!
Only a few days old and he is already posing. I guess he knows his Auntie Tiff will be taking a lot of photos of him. 😉
Posing for me again.
