5 Wedding lighting tips & how it effects your photos
Planning a fall & winter wedding
More about me
Hi I'm Tiffany! Mama of 3 little ones, 19 year wedding photographer and portrait photographer, photography workshop host and mentor, 7 year wedding planner, micro homesteader, lover of travel & adventure, follower of Jesus, and hobby gardener.
If you give a teacher a day to play hooky, then they will have a Westmoreland Courthouse wedding on a Monday with a few family and friends. Margaret & Jonathan planned a lovely little afternoon at the courthouse. If you have been around here for a while, you know how much I love our small weddings and elopements. The Westmoreland County Courthouse is one of my favorite elopement locations and I’ll let you see why.

We met at the Westmoreland County Courthouse a little early for a series of bride and groom portraits before family and friends joined them. The 4th floor boasts the most stunning view of the marvelous dome ceiling. The easy part was that their ceremony was also to take place on the 4th floor in Courtroom #8.

Just before the ceremony, family and friends gathered with them. This is quite the opposite of how the average wedding day takes place, but I love it! Small weddings and elopements tend to have such a different way of changing the normal in a more simple focused manner.

This wasn’t my first time in Courtroom #8, but I do just love it’s intricately painted ceiling to match the main dome area of the courthouse. Plus, this room also has the charming little round windows. Everything about the older side of the courthouse is pure art!

Following their ceremony, Margaret and Jonathan had their family photos taken just outside the courtroom and then a large group photo at the red carpeted stairs on the first floor.

Margaret’s dress was just perfect for this photo!

Last but not least, we couldn’t have a Westmoreland Courthouse wedding and skip taking a few photos outside in the old entrance.

Margaret and Jonathan, thank you so much for inviting my into your wedding day!
