It’s funny how you think about things for ever and suddenly they come and go. That’s how baby girl’s shower was. I had thought about it for year and waited anxiously for it for months. Thanks to dear family and fiends it far exceeded what I had hoped or envisioned it would be.
Just like all of our other baby events, the travel adventure theme lived on for the shower. This time though there was a little more pink.
While I’m not quite sure who all came up with that idea, I arrived at the “airport” rather than my shower venue. I was welcomed by the friendly airport staff, check-in and given my boarding pass then I went though a security checkpoint. Getting curious? Keep scrolling…
After passing though security I was ready to go and the room before me was all dolled up.
From homemade decorated cookies, a full salad bar, all sorts of soups and a tasty cake; everyone went all out for this grand event!
My sweet cousins even bought some of the bowls their company, Behrenberg Glass, makes to create the most lovely salad bar.
While I might have had Joy Filled Occasions pitch in with the flowers, I still had no idea what they would be going in. My little sister prepped the cutest little planes to sit atop the flower arrangements and Carla created the hot air balloon centerpieces.
My sweet Aunt Karen create this darling diaper cake masterpiece.
I even had a special gift unwrapping helper. 🙂
Baby girl has cuter boots than me! I’m a little jealous! Good call on the boots Darcie!
Last but not least, you couldn’t leave the shower without taking your bag. Nestled inside the little suitcases were handmade chocolate. YUM!
While I have no idea where life will take this little girl, I’m sure she will live a life where this travel adventure theme lives on.
Thank you all who helped bring baby girl’s shower to life and to all of those that joined me in celebrating her! The day was magical and while I can’t do it over again I can relive it thanks to my dear friend Darcie of Darcie Lindsay Photography taking these photos for me. <3
