Around the House- Friday my little sister hosted an online Pampered Chef party in my kitchen to kick-off her now being the “Pampered Chef Lady.” I’m hoping she does well because they have a little one on the way!
If you missed Facebook live event, check it out over on my Facebook page, it’s quite a riot to watch. I am not a videographer and especially not with a phone. I ended up dropping the phone, while live on Facebook, into my mixer’s bowl. As a side note, the mixer was being used a phone stand in the kitchen and I was not using the mixer to bake when the drop happened.

Saturday we ventured out into the cold to enjoy Ice Fest in Ligonier. Last year it was more like a melt fest so we didn’t go. This time there was a light snowfall with big fluffy flakes and a chill in the air. It was perfect!
Sunday we celebrated my dad’s 61st birthday and we all learned how to play that train game that I can’t recall the name to now. I might have won but I don’t ever expect to win again. I have a habit of winning the first time playing anything then loosing every time after. I guess I should only go to a casino once in my life with that kind of luck. 😛
Baby Caroline- This week she is gaining two new friends, tooth #5 and #6. She hadn’t been sleeping well and began biting things a few days ago. Sure enough, two new teeth are starting to break through. Poor Caroline has been a trooper with it all though.
We gave her a new treat this week, peanut butter bread! She loves it! We started baby led weaning at about 4 months and she eats like a champ most days. Like any little kiddo, and some adults, she doesn’t like her veggies. This little stinker will eat everything but her green beans and broccoli at times.
Upcoming & Exciting- Shhh don’t tell be I am working on two things that I have not done before.
#1 Mommy and Me Portrait Sessions!!! They will be hosted in the spring around Mothers Day for mom’s and their little ones. (or not so little ones anymore.)
#2 A full wedding day walkthrough for photographers to learn how to photograph a wedding, prep well for a wedding day and then execute photographing a wedding day. This will be taking place in April!!!
I have been dreaming up this idea for years and now I am making it happen. We have had interns, mentor sessions and people shadow our weddings over the years but nothing like this. One major flaw I found in having photographers shadow me on a wedding day was that there wasn’t the time to ask questions and fully explain why I was doing what I was doing and the importance of it.
I hope you all enjoyed this first installment of “The Jacksons Weekly.” Comment below and let me know what you think and if I should do this every week of just monthly?
