You thought I missed todays post didn’t you? Well, this The Jacksons Weekly post might be making it up today by the last hours but it’s happening. We had a busy weekend and today was a little bit more hectic than most Mondays but we are making it happen this week.
Around the House: My little sister’s baby shower finally happened and it was a smashing success! I hope to be blogging all the cute details on Joy Filled Occasion’s blog next week.
Sis looked so cute in her little navy blue dress. I think my love of all things navy blue have rubbed off on her. Well, it could also be the fact that she is having a boy… Shhh I’ll just keep thinking it’s my influence. 😉
This past week I have also been working on creating a go-to dinner meal list vs trying to find new things to make all the time. I have such a hard time eating the same meal week after week BUT it’s so much easier for shopping and makes meal prep during the busy weeks easer.
Now I have a master go-to list with almost all the ingredients on had at all times and then I just toss in a new things here and there. Let’s see how long this lasts. hehe
New & Exciting: This week I’m headed off to a newborn shoot for our friends and a past Jackson Signature Photography bride and groom. YAY!! I will be headed out Philly way on Thursday now. So if you’re from out that way and would like a session while I’m there, let me know.

Baby Caroline: On Wednesday Caroline and I met up with one of our friends and past Jackson Signature Photography senior, Miranda, at The French Express in Latrobe. Caroline was in love with the glass case of sweet treats.

Lastly, as a funny ending to this post, Caroline has a stuffed sheep she has slept with for months. She LOVES this thing and it is a must in bed with her. While I never wanted her to have a thing she couldn’t love without, this sheep has been a godsend when traveling with different beds so I won’t complain.
Well, this week poor sheep got a little soggy after a diaper explosion in bed. Now the tag directions say to not wash him BUT mommy thought she would give it a try. Thankfully we had a back-up sheep on hand so we were good there BUT I just couldn’t throw this sheep away.
(Now mind you this thing has rice beads and lavender in him… I threw him the wash.)
Yes, not thinking I then washed him in hot water. What happens to a rice like substance when it gets wet? Yep, I cooked sheep in the washer and the poor things bloated like a puffer fish.
Sheep has now spent the better part of the last week on the dehumidifier and it has yet to be determined if he will ever leave the sheep ICU. 😉 Thankfully the backup sheep did the trick and his Caroline initiation and approval went well.
