I have been waiting for weeks to post this but without our sister wedding planning and design company, Joy Filled Occasions, launch I didn’t want to share the wonderful news just yet. Being featured on blogs is one thing BUT being featured in print is HUGE!! So with not further delay, may I present to you our Southern Styled shoot featured in Southern Bride Magazine!!!
Below is a little description written by one of our wonderful models and blogger, Ashley Fernandez, Stacy Newburg and myself.
With southern charm that runs as deep as the history of the venue, Rose Hill Plantation, this styled wedding shoot boasts a traditional and timeless air. Gathering influence from the 1985 television series, North & South, we envisioned using garden florals, antique tableware and soft blue accents that would have been common in the mid 1800’s and adding a updated twist giving inspiration to present day brides and grooms. Rose Hill Plantation’s towering front porch, crisp white exterior and classic architecture set the stage for this perfect southern styled wedding.
Delicate pearls and lace adorned both the bride and the bridesmaid’s wedding looks while the groom and groomsman boasted a traditional masculine look with their black tuxes.
With a beautiful backdrop of a wisteria arbor the stage was set for an intimate first look with the bride and groom.
The reception décor featured classic heirloom blue and white china that featured a love story in itself making it the perfect setting for this romantic southern occasion. Set on Rose Hill Plantation’s sweeping back porch with a timeless view of white swans swimming in the pond, a layered table-scape of antique china, delicate lace and romantic blooms was designed with an elegant influence.
A custom monogram was created for the wedding stationary along with personalized glass plates with the couples wedding crest.
If anyone was wondering, yes I would love to photograph weddings in North Carolina! Though I may live here in Pennsylvania we love to travel! So yes, I am a North Carolina wedding photographer as well!
