A lovely dark purple fall wedding at Saint Mary of the Mount church on Mount Washington and a reception at The Priory in downtown Pittsburgh.
Krista got ready on her wedding morning at her and Matt’s home. While her favorite holiday Halloween, was just around the corner, she refrained from decorating until after her big day. Don’t worry though, she was sure to have touches of bride details here and there to decorate.
This charming little poem was given to Krista by her parents the evening before their big day.
These two have the sweetest mother and daughter relationship.
“Future Mrs. Carlier” but not for long. Krista is going to the chapel and she is going to get married! Saint Mary of the Mount, here we come!
Krista had two more special people to see though before she left. First was her and Matt’s sweet pup Charolette. Miss Charolette wanted her own photo too before “mommy” left.
Secondly was her daddy. He didn’t cry but I think his eyes were a little misty. He little girl looked lovely!
Cute curls, a mini bouquet and a flouncy little dress. All the makings for the most darling little flower girl.
Matt and his groomsmen all met on Mount Washington for a few photos before Matt met Krista at the alter.
These guys were looking quite dapper in their black tuxes complete with dark purple vests and bowties.
I have seen Saint Mary of the Mount sitting atop Mount Washington for year but only till now had the please of photographing a wedding there. It didn’t disappoint. While the ceremony times of each wedding were back to back the coordinator was a gem and everything flowed perfectly!
Grand cathedrals are always so breathing!
A few bridal party photos atop Mount Washington before everyone went to the cocktail hour and reception at The Priory.
One of my favorite things about the bride and groom’s photo time on the wedding day is that even though Aaron and I are there taking photos, it’s time for our couples can enjoy together. The day goes so quickly and doesn’t allow for much time together. This is the perfect time for our bride and groom to relax and recall all the excitement that has happened throughout the day.
An old church turned wedding venue with a towering ceiling and ornate architectural details. The Priory looked lovely with Matt and Krista’s deep purple accents and fall decor. This downtown Pittsburgh venue also boasts some delectable food!
A flower girl and a model. I made a friend. 🙂
