I met Julie oddly enough at the eye doctor about a year and a half ago. I was trying to pick glasses and couldn’t decide, so she and I were going through my options, from one brand and frame to another. For those of you who know us both, you know how friendly we are, so conversation quickly escalated from glasses to our personal lives. A few weeks later we met for coffee and our friendship began.
I remember her telling me about Spencer that day at the coffee shop. Julie got this cute little grin on her face while taking about that Spencer guy. She really seemed to like him. I still laugh at how funny our meeting was. Here we were, two total strangers chatting away at the coffee shop practically sharing our life stories. I’m not even sure how it all happened but we ended up going on a double date not long after and I met her Spencer. He was great! After our double date, Aaron and I chatted about how much we really liked Julie and Spencer and how perfect they were for each other. Yes, you can learn a lot over a Chinese Food double date.
Now these two have become dear friends and we were honored to capture their private lakeside wedding earlier this month. The wedding was simple in style but the day was exquisite! The guest list was small but the impact of family and friends love and pure joy for them was tremendous. These two truly adore one another and it showed. I’m getting a little misty eyed just thinking back to it right now. Enjoy this peek into their wedding day!
Julie’s dress was a $20 find at MB Bride. She and I looked all over creation for the perfect dress and at out last stop one evening, we found THE dress.
Here wonderful mother-in-law crafted her bouquets.
The location she had chosen held a small cottage but she ended up getting ready in the lovely greenery. It was so Julie!
Her friend Kristen and I tag-teamed her hair. Kristen completed the lovely styled braid and I placed the flowers.
Julie you look exquisite!!!
Each of her bridesmaids chose a comfortable dress showing off their own personalities.
The guys did the same. Finding their own style in their attire.
The ceremony started and the music played. I started to cry as I watched Julie walk down the aisle.
They both just beamed!
After the ceremony, the two snuck away for a private moment.
The reception was perfectly crafted by friends and family to be a casual affair.
A few toasts were given, dinner was enjoyed and hugs were exchanged before these two snuck away.
We love you guys! Thank you so much for allow us to be a part of your wedding day!
Hugs!
