Remember a little while ago how I said I took a quick trip to Tennessee on a whim? Well, this is why and these are all the pretty photos. I simply couldn’t miss Nick and Miranda’s Knoxville Tennessee proposal.
A memorable spot from Miranda’s first visit to Nick there was Cafe 4 in downtown Knoxville. Next to the cafe is a quaint little park and the church they attend. I think the backdrop for the proposal was perfectly fitting. I arrived a little before Nick and Miranda were to arrive and hid.
I always get such a kick out of trying to act casual while chasing people out of a space before a proposal while hiding. It’s slowly becoming an art for me with as many proposals as I have had the honor of photographing recently. This time though it was little harder because Miranda knows me so I would have been a dead give-a-way.
Miranda probably looks familiar to you all. This sweet girl was one of my senior model’s years ago. Her and I because friends after our road trip for her senior portraits in the Outer Banks. Now she is getting married!
Aren’t these two simply the cutest?!?!?! Nick texted me early Thursday morning asking if I would like to photograph him proposing Friday morning. I finished my drive to my sister’s baby appointment, hopped in the car and took of for Knoxville. I arrived at 2AM and by 10AM I was in downtown Knoxville ready for Nick to propose.
There was a little rain and several big gusts of wind with happy smiles and a few tear filled eyes. Miranda said yes!!!!
We finished taking photos just outside Cafe 4 in the little park before a total downpour happened then went in search of a second location. Our first attempt at an old mansion didn’t work out but our second location was a winner! The sweet mansion owners shared their lovely space.
If that room wasn’t to die for already, they had an outdoor option that was equally dreamy.
Miranda and Nick, I can’t wait to celebrate with you two this weekend! You to have been waiting for this since high school and I it’s finally happening!!!! Aaron and I are honored to be there and a part of your wedding day and your engagement too!
Hugs!
