This past weekend seams like it was a dream. I spend all of Friday and half of Thursday prepping for Saturday’s New Year Eve Wedding. Kelly and Anthony’s wedding day was finally here! Let me tell you, it was one fabulous affair!
We ended the night with over 14 solid hours of photo moment capturing. There was champagne in my left shoe, not my own. Lastly, and my favorite, I stitched up a portion of Kelly’s dress. From 8AM till 1:00AM Aaron and I enjoyed every minute of their wedding!
So this photo of all of us isn’t the most glamorous but I all treasure it! One of my most favorite things about being the kind of wedding photographer I am is the relationships that Aaron and I get to build with our couples. By the time their wedding day’s arrive, we feel like friends. These two have become dear friends now and we are overjoyed to see them now Mr & Mrs.
Here are just a few behind the scenes photos of our day with them. Don’t worry, I didn’t get to post it before BUT Aaron and I did get our mirror selfie. Look at those cute little cookies Kelly had ordered for their “welcome packets.” Not only were they darling but they were quite tasty!
While Aaron and I were “off the clock” at about 9:45 Kelly and Anthony invited us to stay and enjoy the New Years party with them. I eventually agreed but with one simple stipulation… I wanted to get a few photos at midnight. While being up at 5:30AM and working a 14 hour day plus was exhausting, pulling our gear out and capturing the moments after midnight were so worth it! I might not be a cliche loving kind of gall BUT a kiss at midnight just sounded to good to pass up!
I never thought in a million years I would photograph a New Years Eve wedding. I’m so glad these two had chosen their date before Anthony proposed and I met them because I might not have said yes to a New Years Eve wedding. I guess things happen for a reason.
Happy New Year!
