Today I’m going let you all in on a secret. For years I’ve said that I won’t do holiday weddings because it’s family and friend time. It’s downtime away from work and the hustle and bustle…
I didn’t know Kelly & Anthony’s wedding date when Anthony asked me to photograph their proposal but I quickly learned it as I stood near their porch as Kelly stood in shock at the ring on her hand. By then though, I was in love with the two of them. They were just darling and I wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else on New Years Eve.
With about 150 of their closest fiends these two said “I do” then partied the night away with the most unique and exceptional wedding I’ve ever seen. Hosted in a private Shadyside mansion, their reception was a multi level affair complete with a heated tent and all out New Years Eve Party after. I will forewarn you all now, there are a lot of photos in this blog post so sit back and enjoy!
Welcome to Kelly and Anthony’s glamorous New Years Eve wedding!
Kelly is a girl after my own heart. She had more details for me than I knew what to do with but I LOVED it!!! Details are so darling and tell such a story about each couple!
A few months prior to the wedding, I had this custom ring box created for them. Inside the box lid resides a cute little gold pineapple. Pineapples are Kelly’s favorite, next to polkadots that is.
Let me just give her groom, Anthony, a shout-out here. This guy went all out on little things for his soon to be wife. From a custom wedding clutch to a monogrammed Kate Spade purse, this guy spoiled her!
This champagne bottle was signed by Kelly’s bridal shower guests and popped that morning for mimosas.
This was the first time I really teared up. Her dad’s reaction to her was beautiful!! I love the part the dresser mirror played in this photo as it caught some of the bridesmaid’s reactions too.
FAVORITE!!!
This lovely monogramed purse was just one more sweet things from Anthony to his bride.
I’m loving these girls’ dresses!
Swooning over the flowers as well!!
Kelly!! OMG I just can’t get over how simply stunning you looked!!!
Kelly too had chosen some very special gifts for her groom. Pineapple cufflinks, tequila, and a watch were just some of the items she selected for him.
Sometimes it takes two to make the perfect wedding bow-tie.
Yes, Anthony’s attire was a custom made complete with polkadots, their hashtag and wedding date. Ahhh I LOVE it!!
I looked over to take this photo and sew the tear in Anthony’s eye… yep, this is the second time I started to cry.
The genuine sweetness in their faces is darling!!
A second Mr & Mrs kiss before he swept her down the isle! So cute!!!
Taking their story back a few years, this quote was the start of their relationship. From “do you want a shot” to “will you marry me” then “I do!” These two have been enjoying life together and now get to do so as Mr and mrs!
After dashing out of the church, we were off to the Pittsburgh County Courthouse for a few photos only to be almost rained out. Rain was not a part of the plan but everyone rolled with it and we hustled through some lovely photos of these two with their best friends.
Mr Price Charming and his Princess <3
While it mostly rained, it did start to snow for just a moment. The two photos below are the few second of snow we got.
The front of the lovely mansion their reception was host at.
This is my second favorite photo of the day. I think it looks like a Hallmark movie cover.
(Be you can’t guess who was watching to many of those cute Hallmark Christmas movies over the holidays. hehe)
Kelly had the inside of the mansion decorated with personal photos of her and Anthony, lovely flowers and special details to make it personal.
Nestled in one of the second floor rooms was a Photo Booth complete with this custom banner.
Lastly, before the party was started, we pulled out the flash and had a mini photo shoot inside the mansion with these two.
This would be my other favorite photo. Swoon!!!!
There wedding wouldn’t be complete without a mini photoshoot for their fur kids now would it?!?!?
During cocktail hour, Kelly and Anthony snuck away for a private romantic dinner.
Welcome to cocktail hour! This elaborate spread was STUNNING!! I didn’t know food could be this beautiful!
Their cocktail hour bar was complete with a custom bar created by Kelly’s dad, moscow mules for each of their guests, and several custom beverages for the event.
I now have a new favorite backdrop… please sign me up for sparkler first dances!!
Under a tent in the mansions back yard, Kelly and Anthony danced the night away!
Their cake topper was on fire!!!!
If throwing a wedding wasn’t already enough, Kelly and Anthony then threw a sensational New Year Eve Party. Welcome to their wedding day Part 2!
The countdown!
