The blog being down has caused me to be running a little behind on my wedding blogging BUT I promise you this wedding was worth the wait! Get ready for the sweetest portraits, the most relaxed day ever, and a few airplanes! Meet the new Mr & Mrs Zera with their Latrobe Wedding!
Aaron and I were in California for a training when we met Rachel. She and Charley had been the next state over, Arizona, while we were touring southern California. We didn’t even realize how close we were it until a Facebook post. One thing lead to another and we met up in San Diego for the day.
At the end of time with Charley and Rachel, I remember telling Charley that I thought she was darling and I approved. Not that my approval was needed, just that I really liked Rachel and thought she was a true treasure. Little did I know that 2 years later I would be honored with photographing their wedding day.
Charley’s wonderful Aunt opened her home for Rachel to get ready in. It was so incredibly lovely!! The room she got ready in, a little nook off the kitchen, was rounded! How cute is that!?!?
Just one to send to those that couldn’t make it to Pennsylvania that day. You see, Rachel is from Michigan and Charley is from here. Their whole relationship has been traveling here and there. Hence the travel theme to their wedding. With each adventure charley has gone on Rachel has followed or been nearby. How sweet is that?!?!?!
Rachel’s momma helped her get ready, but dad gave the final approval with a sweet little father daughter first look.
Ok guys, this is were the tissues come out. I don’t think I have cried so much at a first look. First of all, there were already tears in Charley’s eyes even before he turned to see her BUT once he saw her, it was game over.
These two had an explosion of happy tears when they saw one another.
Even Rachel’s brother got a little misty eyed through the whole thing. He stood nearby holding her flowers.
Rachel, you looked stunning!! You wouldn’t even know your standing on a shower curtain. 🙂 That darn rain didn’t stop you from enjoying your wedding day and the great outdoors!
Girl, I just can’t get over how perfect you looked!!!
So I’m not a huge fan of small bridal parties. Charley and Rachel’s bridal party was each of their siblings. Charley’s sister as the maid of honor and Rachel’s brother as the best man. It was perfect!
Don’t worry guys, they can look nice too. 😉
After their first look and portraits, these two headed to the nearby KLBE Air Museum for a few more photos and some airplane fun. Not only does Charley love planes, he is also a pilot.
So a HUGE thank you goes out to the museum for allowing these two to hop into the plane. This is usually something only reserved for small children BUT since it was a special occasion, they allowed them to hop in for a few photos. I’m pretty sure they enjoyed it or at least Charley did.
They are now MR & MRS ZERA!!! Woohoo!!!
After a stop at the church, the next order of business was the RC flying field. When we asked Charley what he would like on his wedding day, his reply was simple. He wanted to fly his plane, so we made sure he did just that. Over the hill from their ceremony and reception site is Mammoth Park’ RC plane flying field.
So this pretty much sums things up. hehe
So for not being a photo living couple, these two are just picture perfect!!! Umm HELLO!!! HOW much cuter can you get?!?!?
Ok, so they had to take it down a notch and be more realistic.
Lastly, the put away the plane and partied the night away with family and friends.
Get ready for it…
Best. Cake. Smash. Ever! Don’t worry, the kissed and made up after.
Charley and Rachel,
Aaron and I are honored to have been your wedding photographers and also to be your friends. We are so excited to see where your next adventure in California takes you and the wonderful life your two will live together as Mr and Mrs Zera.
Love you guys!
