Last year was the traveling year for sure and I love every minute of it! Heavens, I was in Tennessee twice even! Once in May for a proposal in downtown Knoxville and then for Katelyn and Nate’s wedding in Dixson in October. This year it’s been a whole different story and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to travel for our couples last year.
Now you’re probably wondering how I ended up in Dixson Tennessee at a Foxcroft Farm so let me make the connections for you. A few years ago, sweet friends of ours Julie and Spencer had the most darling little private lakeside wedding in Ligonier. Family and friends came from out of town to celebrate with them at their small little wedding. One family member being Julie’s brother Nate.
There were so many things on Julie’s wedding day that I noticed Nate did to help her. They were things that made me hope that if I one day had a little boy and a little girl, they were had such sweet moments and he would be so kind to her on her wedding day. ANYWAY post wedding I told Julie that whoever her bother married would be such a lucky girl and I would LOVE to be there to photograph their wedding day.
Fast-forward to October of last year and here you have Nate and Katelyn’s Foxcroft Farm wedding.
The in-between moments can be oh so sweet.
Katelyn, you have such a vintage glam look girl! Love it!!!
I’ve been to and through Tennessee several time over the years and almost every time it’s been raining. I’m not sure if it’s because I brought the rain with me from Pennsylvania or if it’s just because it rains along there too. 😉 The day started out quite windy and rather chilly but just before the ceremony, a rather large rainstorm hit Foxcroft Farm.
Thankfully with a small delay all cleared and the rest of their wedding day was quite lovely. There was even a little sunshine for portraits post ceremony.
No one can ever replace a sibling and the bond sibling share. These moments speak to that.
The sun peaked out perfectly for a few photos and to dry up a little water from the earlier storm. Everyone gathered their ceremony chairs and found their new seat at their table before dinner and dancing.
Nate & Katelyn!
Thank you guys so much for letting Aaron and I be your wedding photographers!!! You two are grand and we are so excited for you both! If ya’ll make it up this yay again, or we make it back to Tennessee, we need to hangout. Jules and Spencer would be welcome too. 🙂
Hugs!
