It’s not every day that you brother-in-law pops the question. I was unfortunately unable to be there since our big styled shoot was on the same day but not to worry. Aaron left work a little early and stole away to Pittsburgh to not only witness the proposal but to photograph it. Shortly after Rachel said “yes” I received a text with a photo of Nate and Rachel in the moment. Friends, the water works started then. I’m so happy to be sharing with you Nate and Rachel’s Mount Washington proposal today!!!
Proposals are always full of youthful joy but seeing young couples get engaged makes the event even more joyful. Nate chose to ask Rachael to cross the bridge into engaged life together with his Mount Washington Proposal overlooking Pittsburgh, the city of bridges. Nate told her that they had a reservation they had to attend in order to keep the proposal a secret, but upon arriving on Mount Washington Racheal noted the cute table set up with coffee and macaroons. The couple waited for the overlook to clear and Nate said that the table was for them. After enjoying their dainty Mount Washington date, Nate danced Rachael away from the table, dropped to his knee and asked for her hand in marriage. Rachael, of course, said yes and after a few moments of giddy excitement the couple embraced for a kiss and a hug (part of which, Rachael spent lovingly adoring her ring wrapped in the arms of her fiancé). During another embrace, Nate gave a thumbs up with a “She said yes!” grin. The happy couple posed for some celebratory photos on Mount Washington along with a few happy candids beneath the summer sunshine overlooking Pittsburgh.
While Aaron had photographed the grand event, I edited them after. The moment this one popped up on my screen I had to giggle. Rachel had said yes!!
Nate & Rachel,
Aaron and I are not only thrilled that you two asked us to stand with you as you start your life together but we are even more thrilled that you have chosen to spend the rest of your life together. We can’t wait to see where God takes you two on this married adventure. We love you guys!!
