Not far from the hustle and bustle of Pittsburgh is the cutest little Italian Villa style wedding venue, Bella Sera. Their back yard area boasts a small pond with layered seating for an amphitheater style ceremony and a little walking path that is perfect for portraits. Matt and Amy chose Bella Sera as their wedding day venue then quickly called us to book.
Aaron and I travel all over the US for weddings, and at one point, I drove right through where they live in Tennessee BUT they just so happened to be back in Pittsburgh that weekend. Though we didn’t get to meet prior to their wedding day, you would have never known. This sweet couple and their family welcomed us as one of their own.

It’s rare that a grandmother will be a part of the getting ready time. After Amy and Matt’s wedding, I now think it is the sweetest! Amy’s grandma was a doll! She joined in on the getting ready fun, had her own cute robe and lounged and got all dolled up with the bridesmaids.
Amy’s wedding day shoes were part of her something borrowed. Those pretty gold shoes were her grandmas. Such a personal little touch and a lovely selection for the “old and new, borrowed and blue” saying.
Amy and Matt chose to do a first look out in the garden area before their ceremony. Bella Sera has a small pond and wrap around garden just beyond the pond that was perfect for their first look and portraits before the ceremony.
They said it would be overcast all day but the sun joined us a few times for some dreamy photos. YAY!!! 
I realized the other day that I don’t usually post the individual portraits on the blog of the bride with each bridesmaid. I do take them and give a few options for each bridesmaid because you never know I she will want to post a close-up or a lovely long photo with all of their dresses in the photo. Today I’m sharing a few for you all on the blog.
Shhhh don’t tell but Amy’s sister, Allie Joe, was my favorite. 😉 
No Bella Sera wedding would be complete without the large group photo.
Amy and Matt certainly threw a reception! Everyone was out on the dance floor and the music was a blend of live with a polka band and a DJ. I wasn’t sure at first how that would work together but it came together flawlessly!

I absolutely LOVED! Tiffany and Aaron and the beautiful work that they did. I have to agree that they felt like old friends :). Tiffany was great to plan with over the phone since we live so far way. I would highly recommend them as a wedding photographer. I can’t stop looking at the pictures!!
