More about me
Here you can share a few words about you, but remember that it should be from a client perspective. Sugar plum cupcake ice.

Christmas at the Jacksons was in full swing this year. Our cottage Christmas decor took a little bit longer to get together since we were mid construction, yet agin, right before Christmas. We like deadlines if you can’t tell. hehe Our sunporch was the last thing on our 2016 Jackson house renovation list. Though it is not fully complete yet, it is almost ready for it’s unveiling. The full sunporch post will probably be in about a month or so.
While I’m a total neutrals girl at heart, I still enjoy a pop of red in my cottage Christmas decor. I tried hard to not include much more than the greenery of the pine but it just didn’t look quite right. So I caved and added the red. I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out.
I tried to decorate things so that with a few changes after the new year I could still have winter decor but not get rid of all I had done. With that being said, all of the pine will stay and the red candles will turn to white. The stockings will go but the mittens will stay etc.
Do you see your card on there? I think we fit everyone, unless one fell behind the buffet. Oops!
One of my favorite finds were the little cream mittens below. I search high and low for them. No one had simple old fashion cream mittens. Thankfully at the last minute I found them on J Crew. Darn I LOVE that store!
I’m also in love with the new view into our home. This was previously the view through our old sliding glass door that was alway covered in Duke’s nose art. So thankful that is gone!
Part of this years Christmas craft projects were to create my wreathes. Well, it was a HUGE lesson in how to create them. While cutting the fresh pine and getting them to all lay and look just so was easy, I did’t have a long term plan. All of my wreathes are falling apart! So much for a long game. 🙁
I had to go out and buy a few back-up wreathes at the floral wholesale shop before Christmas because once I touch the ones I made taking the Christmas decor down, they will be nothing but branches. It’s kinda funny. What I failed to do prior to making them but after cutting the pine was to soak the branches. Oops! I guess you live and learn.
Welcome to the Christmas morning portion of this post!
My presents – Dukes – Aaron’s
All that pup wanted was his stocking. He was cracking us up!
This was my FAVORITE Christmas gift!!! Aaron and I had been out shopping a few months ago when I spotted this beauty and my eyes must have lit up but knowing money was tight, I decided it was not a practical purchase. Well, little did I know that Aaron had secretly arranged for it’s purchase.
Here is a little peek into out sunroom. This is all I will post for now because there is still much more to be done.
We hope you have enjoyed this Christmas season with friends and family celebrating! Happy New Years Eve Eve!!
