A sparkly wedding day at the Westmoreland Country Club

When Sarah first mentioned to me that she was hoping to have the bridesmaids wear gold dresses, I panicked a little. What I missed was that they would be SPARKLY gold dresses. OMG!! I was IN LOVE!!!

Sarah and Mike’s wedding day started a little overcast and cool but the skies cleared and the sun joined them in celebrating. Both Sarah and Mike’s moms worked hard to bring to life Sarah’s wedding vision at the Westmoreland Country Club. I always love it when family pulls together to make it all happen. Sarah is a nurse AND also back in school. This girl works hard and a wedding wasn’t always easy to plan. Thanks to her mom and Mike’s mom, the day came together flawlessly.

Their full wedding day was held at the Westmoreland Country Club in Export. Sarah and Mike both got ready in the locker rooms at the club and both separately snuck outside for portraits with their bridal party before the ceremony. This is always fun to coordinate so that they don’t see one another prior to the ceremony but thanks to the help of Aaron, it always works out perfectly. Shortly before four thirty, everyone gathered on the country club’s front lawn for their wedding ceremony.

With “God Gave Me You” playing in the background, Sarah made her way down the isle to meet Mike. Though the sun was a little too bright in his eyes to fully see her, the grin on his face was charming! He was one happy groom!

Their ceremony let out and not long after the two joined their friends and family on the dance floor to party the night away! Enjoy some of their memories and moments from their wedding day.

Since we didn’t have a lot of time between the end of the ceremony and the reception, Sarah and Mike snuck outside for a few sweet light photos. One of my personal favorite times because all of the formalities are out of the way and everyone is so relaxed. It’s also a wonderful escape to spend a few moments together as a couple.

Don’t worry though, I didn’t keep them away from the party for long.
