More about me
Here you can share a few words about you, but remember that it should be from a client perspective. Sugar plum cupcake ice.

On a gusty 9 degree January day with snow dusting the ground we moved from our two bedroom townhouse to a two bedroom, house in need of more work than I knew it needed. Our first house had been purchased and the move had begun. No U-haul was need just several car, SUV and truck loads were required. At the end of the day though, we had moved into our first home.
The last month had been spent on gutting, cleaning and remodeling the little we could afford to fix up before the big move. I am pretty sure the bathroom was the only room close to done at that point. Over the last 2 years so much blood sweat and tears has gone into making this little house a home.
I have been so very blessed with a wonderful husband who has poured and continues to pour countless hours of hard work and love into our home as well. While we may not be able to get the feature now, my goal, is to have this little house featured in Better Homes and Gardens or something equality grand.
I have swept my floors just one more time for you all today, this would make the 3rd time this week thanks to a certain golden retriever. Welcome to our humble little home as we celebrate 2 years of owning it.
While we have spent a lot on the inside on this little house, the outside has been patiently wanting for its remodel. We have added new windows and a coat of paint to the door and shutters but until the addition goes on we are at a standstill for the cape cod dormers and getting rid of the horrible front porch. Oh but we do have a nice mailbox and a full front yard thanks to the help of our good friend Steve who owns Steve Tylka Landscaping.
This little side porch will be my kitchen area but for now I get to decorate it and make it feel a little fancy.
So here starts some of the most dramatic before and after photos.
Aaron and I spend an afternoon busting out the arch. I have to say, I do love the open feel it gave the place. It took a while to get the faux beam but it really added to the character of the house.
Looking back, I have no idea how they crammed that large china closet on the wall. There isn’t the room for it.
Oh my, this one is by far my favorite before and after. Believe it or not, there was hardly anything changed in this room. Paint and a new floor were most of what we did. This room will someday be the dinning room so I didn’t want to spend to much making it all fancy.
Umm hello! Major difference!
I am pretty sure that most people don’t really do anything with their bedrooms right? We painted this room and re-did the floors. That’s about it until it becomes as guest room. So unless you have an old iron headboard or something equally cottage cute then this is about as fancy as this room will get. At least is’t a step up from the old look.
Then there is the second bedroom and what is now my office. This room was so gross! You cold scrape the slime off the walls and don’t even get me started on all the pealing paint and the floor issues.
Just a plug for my wonderful hubby who has done all of the work on our home, he is the owner of Jackson Renovations. So if you like what you see and would like a bathroom remodel, kitchen remodel, new floors etc. you can find Jackson Renovations online here and on Facebook here.
