What a magical weekend!!! Aaron and I witnessed the most charming wedding ever!!! The ceremony took place in the woods beside his family’s cabin, just a few family members where there, like 3, and their first dance was in a hilltop. Swoon right!?!?!! Oh and we were honored to be the witnesses on their marriage license!! Their full wedding blog post will be up next week.
The rest of our weekend was filled with exploring Elk County and camping! This was my second time up that way, the last time was for Laura and Bruce’s wedding 5 years ago, but this time I got to stay in the area for two extra days. Aaron and I took our little pop-up to the nearby State Park, Sizerville. Thankfully the rain doesn’t bother us much in a camper BUT the campground did run out of water Saturday night. Yikes!! It made for it’s own fun adventure.
Now back to those elk. We saw a momma and baby, calf and cow, mid afternoon Saturday. Then Saturday night we went back out and saw a rather large heard of mommas and babies followed by two huge bull’s, the daddy’s, a bit further down the road. It was the coolest thing!! I will be honest, I felt like I was out west or some other cool place not Pennsylvania.
I was hoping to get some photos of the elf but it was rather dark by the time we saw the heard and the big bulls so the little iPhone pic form earlier in the day will have to do.
Happy Monday Friends!
