I have been dying to post these photos and while only the details and their portraits were taken by me, Aaron and my dear friend Darcie filled in while I was the Maid of Honor, florist and wedding coordinator.
I have known this bride since she was little. So little in fact that I held her as a baby and was her school teacher then she was a little girl. I even prayed for her to be a part of my life before she was even a twinkle in her parents eye. Today’s bride on the blog is my little sister.
Since I have been in the wedding industry for almost 12 wedding seasons, I didn’t want Crystal to miss out on anything. I wanted it to be all she could of ever dreamed of it being. So a custom wedding logo and full invitation suite started it all.
Since I had quite the busy few days before her wedding with all of her flowers to make and plenty of things to set-up, I took all of her detail photos several days before their big day. If only I could do this on every wedding day.
He bouquet’s main flowers were large white peonies and to tie in all the wedding day purples were dark purple lisianthus with accenting light purple spray roses and freesia. For a hit of blue I added dusty miller and hand tied the bouquet to finish it off. I don’t think I have ever spent so misc time creating a bouquet for a bride before.
My mom is a cosmetologist by profession and though she has been out of the industry for a few years she helped by my sister and I on our wedding days. She always says she isn’t sure what she is doing and that it might not turn out but she always don’t a wonderful job.
Since sis had an indoor ceremony these cute little lace wrap “shoes” were perfect.
A quick little daddy daughter first look happened before Crystal went to see Charlie for their first look.
If you have ever met Charlie’s family, you know they are a fun loving bunch and so are his 4 younger brothers. This is him and his youngest brother, Sam. She is quite the goober.
With them all dressed and ready, I took Crystal out to meet Charlie for their first look. You would have thought I was the mom because I’m pretty sure I cried more tears than my mother did. While our age gap was hard as little girls, I think now that we are old it has bonded us together even more. Though she will always be my little sister and I will always feel like a second mother to her, we are become such great friends now that we are older.
Yes, that’s a camera in my hands… I might have had to take some of these photo too. hehe
Some silly looks were only meant for me.
Two of the cutest little flower girls. Caroline was trying to eat the flowers though. Oops!
We might have snuck in a few photos of us. Shhhh
Finding way to elongate your wedding day is always a wonderful idea. The day happens so fast as it is, there is no need to rush anything anymore. Charlie and Crystal opted to have there first look so they could enjoy bridal party photos at the park and lunch with their friends before the ceremony. While at the park, we photographed their bride and groom portraits while bridesmaid and groomsmen went back to the church to get ready for the ceremony.
These sweet moments of them “almost” alone and super relaxed we so cute!
Total fav right here!
The whole was perfect. We were taking their portraits and in the distance we could see storm clouds and head thunder but not a drop of rain touched is. We no sooner reached the church for the ceremony and the sky opened up on us all.
I might post embarrassing photo of others in a blog post so it’s only fare that I post one of myself too. hehe I promise I didn’t start my speech of with “for those of you that don’t know me.”
Some people just have to be a little extra… these two had TWO RECEPTIONS!!! WHAT?!?!?! The church only allowed for formal wedding dances so when there two musicians wanted a dace party, they rented a second location to dance for a few hours and let me tell you, they didn’t disappoint in the wild and crazy dancing department.
It still seams so weird to be blogging about my little sister’s wedding because to me she will always be just that, my little sister. Here she is though all grown up a married. Life moves so quickly anymore. Love you Charlie and Crystal!
