While Aaron and I love making new friends and getting to know their families, sometimes it’s nice to be there for old friends as well. Jeff’s family is longtime friends with the Jacksons so naturally we had some extra fun on their wedding day. Jeff and Liz’s colorful summer Butler wedding was full of bright details and crafted around their love of Doctor Who and Liz’s Irish heritage.
Right before their wedding, we were chatting and going over the final details when Jeff texted me a photo of Liz creating her custom wedding shoes. Liz crafted the perfectly coordinated wedding complete with her teal blue wedding color and girly sparkles.
Liz’s Irish heritage was woven through the day but one of the most special was her family’s lovely symbol placed in their study window.
I have not seen a sixpence places in the bride’s shoe for quite a while but this time there was a little story behind the coin chosen. Liz’s aunt is quite the traveler and would bring back coins for her. On her wedding morning, her mom retrieved the coins and Liz selected the coin of her choice for her shoe.
Talk about a flower girl with some sass!
Liz’s dad always brought her iris’s so what better addition to her wedding bouquet.
The perfect spot for Liz and Jeff’s Butler wedding was none other than Liz’s family church, Saint Paul.
A sweet father-daughter first look transpired right before Liz walked down the isle.
Since Jeff and Liz’s day didn’t go as they had hoped, we still created the most darling bridal walk down the isle for these two.
Jeff’s back was turned till Liz reached the front of the church. His face was simply priceless!
No matter how many weddings I photograph, the look between the bride and the groom as this are just about to join hands at the front of the church to pledge the rest of their lives together is always so sweet.
Congratulations you two!
Jeff and Liz created their centerpieces to tell their story. Each flower box contained a note telling a little bit about their relationship and a coordinating item.
I think my favorite was the zoo date centerpiece. How cute are these animals???
It wasn’t quite sweet light time but we still snuck outside for a few photos once the rain cleared.
After a few photos these two joined their guests for a little groomsmen fun and danced the night away!
Oh and did I mention that they love Doctor Who? Well, he might have popped in their reception to say hello via video. Their sweet Maid of honor created a fun wedding video for them with their favorite doctor.
Jeff and Liz,
Thank you so much for letting Aaron and I be a part of your wedding day! We love you guys and pray you two have the most wonderful and blessed marriage!
Cheers to many incredible years as Mr & Mrs!
