How to create a realistic timeline
More about me
Here you can share a few words about you, but remember that it should be from a client perspective. Sugar plum cupcake ice.
Topping croissant muffin shortbread powder. Powder caramels wafer caramels cupcake tootsie roll marzipan.
I haven’t posted much, mostly due to time and trying to prioritize my life but I thought I might answer a few questions for you all. Yes, you have heard correctly, we are a family of four now with a little boy due quite soon.
How are you feeling?
Pretty good considering in about 38 weeks pregnant. I’ve been most tired this time around but I also have a very active 3 year old to keep up with, both businesses and Aaron and I’s joint venture. So why I’m tired I just don’t know. hehe
How has this pregnancy been vs Caroline’s?
I had it so easy with Caroline. I was only sick for a few weeks. I had zero complications and it was all easy breezy. This little guy has given me a bit of a run for it from the start. However, I am truly grateful for it because he is a little rainbow baby and so treasured and loved.
This little guy is also more of a basketball than the watermelon Caroline was. I feel as though I spend half my life trying to gain my sense of balance. I have also not been able to touch my toes or see them for quite a bit. When the say you carry differently with a boy verse a girl, they were not kidding!
Can we PLEASE know the name?
Yes! It’s no secret this time. When we were picking names for our first pregnancy, Aaron and I could only agree on two names: Caroline Rose & Grady Alexander. This time though, it was a simple choice when we found out we were having a boy.
Is your nursery done?
NOPE! We don’t even have one. Thanks to all of the crazy of the last year, our two bedroom cape is still two bedroom so much to my dismay, Grady will be spending the first months of his life in our room. Lord willing, he will sleep through the night like his big sister after a little while and then they will share a room until the upstairs master suite and nursery can be completed.
Oddly enough, Caroline is rather upset that brother is not going to be in her room right away. Despite not being thrilled she was getting a brother at first, she loves the idea now.
What is your due date?
May 6th give or take. We already had one labor scare the other night with constant close contractions for two and a half hours so we shall see. I keep praying we can make it at least to the 5th. As you all know though, babies arrive on their own time.
Are you taking maternity leave?
Yes and no… While I’m on it now, as always, I am still monitoring things for our sweet couples and making sure I can serve them to the best of my abilities. My due date is May 6th and I have a wedding on the 29th. This time around there will be no luxurious two months off.
How is Caroline handling all the changes?
So far, so good. She is all about my belly, his things and taking care of him. Being an older cousin and having little friends with younger siblings has been a HUGE help. Caroline LOVES taking care of babies and being the “best helper” as she calls herself. It’s quite darling!
Here are a few photos from our family maternity mini portrait session with my friend Darcie with Darcie Lindsey Photography. She graciously agreed to spot in the studio and snag a few photos before Grady arrives and they are photos to treasure for sure!
