Downtown Pittsburgh with a darling doggy and an engaged couple, does it get any better? Amy and Rick were between a few different locations but settled on the big fountain across from the Cathedral of Learning and the grounds around the cathedral for photos. Like a good couple though, they couldn’t forget their furry family member as well.
I think Piper thought the engagement session was just for her.
The Cathedral of Learning grounds always make me feel as though we aren’t in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but some romantic European country. The old architecture makes me swoon! I wish more history had been preserved over the years but I’m always ready to take photos wherever historic buildings are present.
Amy and Rick have such a fun chemistry between the two of them. Amy’s contagious smile was ever so present while Rick flirted with her as the session progressed. It’s always fun to support my couples in natural and candid moment creation. Being infant of the camera isn’t always everyones cup-of-tea but creating an environment that allows for laughter and fun makes the world of a difference.
You can’t be in Oakland without stopping over at the iconic Mellon Pillars for a few engagement portraits as well. The setting sun was leaving some shadows to add extra depth and demotion to their photos while leaving some great bright light spots as well. It gave off a romantic glow at the end.
