Happy Monday all! My last double header wedding weekend was in 2012 shortly before our wedding. I had forgotten how crazy they can be. Since my shooting has changed since 2012 and I have my trusty hubby with me I was not sure what to expect. I knew going into it to have plenty of back-up gear and extras of EVERYTHING! Sooooo I went shopping!!! If you don’t know this already. I LOVE to shop! However, camera gear is a lot more expensive than those cute JCrew clothes. Boo
So with some extra gear, we hit the road early Saturday morning for Amanda & Mike’s wedding day! The rain held off for the ceremony and then brought a little refreshing rain mid portraits but cleared yet again so we could finish the pictures.
Oh man! Wait till you see the photos from this reception! I thought Aaron and I had the most crazy money dance when Jeff helped him climb up into the beams and drop down in our circle of friends to reach me. (PS: If you’re not from western PA this craziness is normal around here. The Monday Dance is where family and friends pay to dance with the bride then after everyone dances with her, guests gather around here. The groom then tries to break through the crowded to reach his bride.)

Sunday morning we set of to join Danielle & Rob for a lovely little wedding in Pittsburgh at the Morning Glory Inn. This was my first wedding at the Morning Glory Inn so I was not used to their unique wedding layout but I have to say, I am now a fan. Family and friends gather around the bride and groom for the ceremony. There really isn’t any seating it’s just family and friends close to the couple. The reception is a flowing reception so it’s almost like cocktail hour is prior to the ceremony and dinner starts shortly after the ceremony ends. The the rest of the evening has a casual flow. It was a little bit harder to photograph, but I loved how warm and relaxed the day was.
