It’s been a long time coming but it had to be done. When Aaron and I were married in 2012, I really felt that the TJZ Creations name had to change. I was no longer Tiffany Joy Ziegenfus but Tiffany Joy Jackson. Then in March of 2013, Aaron and I quickly became a wedding photography duo. But how could I change my name after over 5 years in business?
During our trip to California, I was given a little push by one of the photographers I look up to in our industry, Mary Marantz, with Justin & Mary. Despite how I loved to have my name confused with TMJ, the jaw problem, and TMZ, the celebrity gossip and news, she said a name change had to be done. Her saying that, was just the push I needed.
It took us a while to choose a name. We knew that Jackson, our last name, had to be a part of the new name but I didn’t want our name birthed out of a naming trend or based on another photographers name just because I liked it. So Aaron and I sat down and wrote down the things that we felt described our brand.
Classic, Romantic, Emotion.
None of this seamed to fit into a name though, so we thought about it a little more. From wedding planning to taking the wedding photos, I felt we were leaving a little bit of ourselves in each thing we do… We leave our signature.
So with more prayer and some googling. Then some legal stuff and more prayer. We decided that Jackson Signature Photography would be our new name. With every image we capture and life we touch we want to leave our unique signature. One that says marriage is more than feelings and warm fuzzies, it’s a choice to show love to one person for the rest of your life. One that says you are beautiful, loved by God, and cherished like no other.
