Latrobe Photography Studio Spring Time Birthday Portraits | Adeline’s 3rd Birthday

I hear, “I don’t need a ton of props” a lot when people are planning a photography studio session. That’s ok, I totally get it. A lot of props is great, but sometimes it takes away from the subject matter. Little miss Adeline’s spring time birthday Latrobe photography studio portraits were simple and sweet with the seamless backdrop.

Since she will be a big sister shortly after her 3rd birthday, I wanted to incorporate a little story telling with the vintage style doll pram. While she loves her dolls, the pram give a little nod to the big sister part of her 3rd year. The flowers were just for a little springtime fun.

No more photos please mom! Even in her “I’m done” portion of the photos, we still captured some very cute portraits. That’s what is so great about kiddos. If you don’t go into a portrait session expecting them to be all prim and full of smiles, it gives them breathing room to be a kid.

As a mom of almost 4 now, I don’t ever expect all of my kids to be smiling and looking at the camera. Kids will be kids and I want them to enjoy photos, not dread them. They will be more likely to tolerate family and birthday photos as they get older if you let them be themselves early on. It’s also way less pressure on you to get them to smile.
