Caroline’s Newborn Portraits

I can’t believe this little girl is almost one already. Caroline Rose has brought so much life to our little home and as she rounds the bend on her first birthday I realized I didn’t share her newborn portraits or really anything about her since she was born.

She quickly took over our lives and left me with little time to think outside of what I needed to do to survive. Now I am finally getting into a a rhythm with her and she is becoming her own little person. Thankfully she isn’t always needing mommy to be there with her 24-7 allowing me to be able to blog again.

This last year has flown by even faster then usual because if this little girl but she has been worth it.

I look at these photos and see the little toddler she is becoming in her face a little baby. 

While I have collected a lot of newborn props over the years, my favorite prop for Caroline’s newborn portraits wasn’t even a real prop. This pretty little headband and fabric was my grandmothers, Caroline’s great grandma’s, wedding veil and hairpiece. The small crown on her head was mine though from the prop collection. 

Those tiny little toes steal my heart. She is just about to start walking on them now. We think it will be any day now. 

This is my favorite photo of Aaron and her. So sweet and so tender. His bing hands and her tiny little person. 

I’ve been a newborn photographer for 11 years now and nothing prepared me for taking my own little girls photos. The time you have with them when they are this small is so very short. Capture every second. Every minute.
