You all know I LOVE to travel so I jumped at the chance to meet Courtney and Ty in Shenandoah National Park’s Skyline Drive in Virginia. While there are a lot of overlooks that consist of parking lots, we manage to find some perfect locations. The park is stunning so you really couldn’t pick a bad spot.
At first we started out trying to hike out to an overlook but quickly decided that wasn’t the best idea. The sun and time of day wan’t doing to be the best and poor Courtney was recovering from a cold. Breathing and enjoying the engagement session was a bit more of a priority for me than the “dream” location. I think we found the most dreamy ones where we were in the park without going too far.
Aren’t these two just magical?!?!?!
Most of my sessions anymore are evening sessions. Due to travel times and when were could meet along Skyline Drive, Courtney and TY chose a morning session. Morning light isn’t quite as warm and glowing as evening light but I love the crispness of it!
Though it wan’t the overlook I had in mind, we hopped over a stone wall, down the hillside just a little and there awaited the perfect rocky overlook. Ok that makes it sound easier than it was to get to but you see my point… It was worth the adventure.
Courtney and TY,
I am so glad we could make this all happen! You two are so darling and were such adventurers about the spots we picked. I can’t wait for your wedding day and all that is to come as you two adventure together more out in Colorado!
