Their church, their family and a June day. The first wedding Aaron and I ever photographed together about ten years ago was at Charter Oak Church. It was shortly after we started dating and now we returned there as a husband and wife duo to photograph Savannah and Dylan become husband and wife. Yes, that’s a bit of a romantic view but what else is new. I am a hopeless romantic.
I love watching moms help their “little girls” get ready. All the years of training up their sweet daughters has lead to this wonderful day. All the memories I feel must roll through mom’s mind in a little flash.
Right as we were walking out the door to go to the field for photos it started raining and the humidity jumped. Rather than let it spoil our plans fully, we used the little overhang at the church while the rain kept with it’s plan. The sun did finally join us but it was so humid no one wanted to make the trek to the field.
These ladies looked lovely in their dusty pink/purple dresses. They seemed to change colors and match with the flowers oh so perfectly.
Aaron met Dylan and the guys just before the rain started for their field photos.
Charter Oak Church has a wonderfully large patio space just off the front of the church and it became the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. Since the church sits up on the hill you can clean almost all that is below leaving you with a grand view of the Laurel Highlands. A grand ceremony space if I do say so.
I can up the steps to start getting ready for the ceremony when I found these two darling flower girls looking out the window. They just looked oh so cute!
Thankfully I caught a little of what we to happen before the wedding or else my heart would have dropped… The groomsmen had arranged to all pretend like they didn’t have the ring as one after the other dramatically acted the forgetful part. At the end, the last groomsman produced the ring and the ceremony went on. It was quite the comical mini event.
Mr & Mrs Kennedy!!!
I’m pretty sure I could take photos here all day long. These windows were amazing! I love how they caught the blue sky and clouds.
Dylan & Savanah,
We were so happy to be a party of your wedding day! You created such a wonderful time for you two and your family and friends. Cheers to many wonderful years!
